Depot Beach – Durras Lake North is an alternative camping ground

The ban on solid fuel fires imposed by NSW National Parks and NSW Forestry (Sep 2019) does NOT apply in our holiday park.

But, if a Total Fire Ban day is announced then no fireplaces can be used in the park.  Check for updates here

Depot Beach village is a popular south coast destination. Located in the Murramarang National Park, it consists of the Depot Beach camping ground and a village of  holiday houses. The camping ground is operated by the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Though Depot Beach is quite popular, many travellers and locals are discovering a campground alternative at Durras North, just a few minutes drive away.

Durras North is another small south coast village nestled between Durras Lake and Durras Beach. It is well regarded for its network of bush and beach walking trails. Not to mention the fishing and surfing! The camping ground at Durras Lake North Holiday Park is famous for its “International Kangaroo Guarantee”. If no kangaroos are seen, then a full refund is given.

Unlike the Depot Beach camping area and Pebbly Beach Camping ground, campers at Durras North do not have to pay the National Park daily entrance fee.
