The cabin is in a perfect spot in the lower part of the holiday park with uninterrupted 180 degree north facing views from the deck of the spectacular gums in the Murramarang National Park (check out the park map here: https://durrasnorthpark.com.au/park-map/). It is a short walk to two south coast gems: arguably the best beach (quality waves with no crowds) and best lake (large size with national park on three sides).
 
The Durras beach with Calm Corner at its eastern end offers a very protected and safe area for swimming, surfing and snorkelling. Durras Lake is a pristine tidal lake that offers swimming, kayaking, snorkelling and fishing for all the kids. Both are very popular spots for families.
 
The cabin was recently renovated as a labour of love (more on this later) in a cool retro blue and white colour scheme. The interior decor offers a great inviting retreat where you will feel relaxed. The new deck also offers a relaxed vibe where you can dine with spectacular views to the towering forest of gum trees that are alive with the calls of a wide variety of birdlife, and the grunts of koalas in the morning.
 
This cabin is tastefully appointed with everything you need, including: fully stocked kitchen with appliances – sink, fridge, induction cooktop, toaster, jug, a range of cookware, crockery, cutlery, microwave, soda stream and more. The cabin comfortably sleeps 4 adults in the two rooms – a double bed and a double fold-out lounge are included. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and ample cupboard storage. The lounge room is bright and includes two double lounges. One folds out to become a bed and the other has a reclining function – very comfy!
Other furniture includes a tall boy, a TV and low cabinet with wicker panels, heater, fan and lights. The deck includes a dining table and chairs, bench seat with storage for wet beach gear, an electric barbecue, lighting and an awning to provide shade. There is secure storage under the deck for surf gear and kayaks. The site includes generous car and boat trailer space.
 
The park provides double filtered and sterilised water for drinking and an amazingly clean amenities block which is located around 40 metres up the hill. The holiday park has a café/shop (the only one in town) offering great coffee and useful grocery items like bait and personal hygiene essentials. The park strives to be family friendly, and for example, offers outdoor movie screenings during the peak seasons.

  • Pet friendly – van owners are allowed one pet dog, subject to good behaviour.
    Fees are $1,690 per quarter, including electricity.
